About Friendsheep
Friendsheep products are handmade for fair wages by underprivileged women and disabled people in Kathmandu, Nepal. We provide ethical working conditions, medical care, education and purpose to empower people in their communities, while respecting animals and nature. Our wool products are made of organic, cruelty-free certified wool, using eco-friendly azo-free dyes. They're needle felted using only vegetable soap and warm water and then sun-dried. All organic cotton bags are hand made and hand printed. Our products are reusable, plastic free, and compostable at the end of their life. We ship quickly and plastic-free. We're Eden Reforestation Projects partners and we plant a tree for every item sold. We've planted 1 MILLION trees so far - and counting! We are 1% For the Planet members, and donate over 20% of our proceeds to rescues, ocean conservation and environmental nonprofits. We are a small cat shelter so we wanted some unique items to offer to our cat customers. We trialed some with our cats first and they were greatly enjoyed. The springs however are not quite up to a vigorous play time (they lost their shape pretty quick with our young cats) but that doesn't stop them from being played with in spring form or string form! We are ordering dryer balls next to offer some interesting options to our customers!

It’s made from 100% natural felted wool, without any wire, glue, or chemicals, so it won’t hold a rigid shape like synthetic toys. That said, as you’ve seen, cats tend to love the transformation, whether it’s in spring form or string form, and that evolving shape is part of what keeps it engaging for them. It’s actually one of our all-time bestselling toys for that reason! We do understand that the name “spring” can set certain expectations, and we appreciate that feedback, it’s helpful as we continue to improve how we present our products.
