Created collaboratively with artist Leslie Love, it was built by layering two different paintings together. Of her process, Leslie says, “When I was done, I remembered more of what I know. I have been to Guatemala, and Honduras. And when I looked again, I recall driving through BC and Alberta, Milk River and the Badlands, big skies, sagebrush. You don’t need to know all that to get an emotional response to the work, but I like to share the road I travelled to get here.”The beautiful washed colours on this kimono feel sun-faded and worn in, like a treasured piece that has travelled the world. 100% viscose (derived from plant fibres such as wood and bamboo).
