Saint Basil The Great Silk Screen Icon – Engraved Silver & Wood MC Series is certified icon with a stylized metal frame. This series can be wall mount or standing, high quality collectable icon. Authentically made in Greece, and shipped from USA. Protector of the poor and weak, Saint Basil, a Father and Teacher of the Christian Church grew up in Caesarea of Cappadocia to noble and wealthy parents with Christian beliefs. He studied philosophy, rhetoric, grammar, astronomy and medicine and taught the art of rhetoric. He lived an ascetic life as a hermit in Egypt, Palestine, Syria and Mesopotamia. He retired at the Monastery of Pontos as a monk; He fought against moral decay and reformed monasticism, he built the famous “Vasiliadaa”, a complex of charitable institutions, including an almshouse, orphanage, nursing home, providing food and care to thousands of patients of any age, gender and race.

We always have a great experience ordering from the friendly people at The Art of the Icon. They are very helpful and the products are beautiful quality. Our customers love these icons (seriographs) created in Greece. These lovely pieces allow the faithful to enjoy iconography in their homes at reasonable price points. The small magnet icons are particularly popular in our shop.

The customers at my organization are loving the icons from The Art of the Icon. There are some less expensive options but people have been spending more money for these icons because the quality is great! The price is good and they always ship carefully and quickly.
