Compresses are approx. 11x7 Regular packaging is a clear plastic wrap with a sticker showing the scent and filling, and an informational card. The light pressure of the weighted therapeutic compress lightly presses on acupressure points and uses heat therapy to give relief around the stomach, knees, and shoulders, and promotes a calm feeling much in the same way a weighted blanket works for the body.  Keep in mind that Rice is denser than Flaxseed so compresses filled with Rice or Flax/Rice mix will be heavier than just Flaxseed filled.  For Heat Therapy -  Place your compress in the microwave for 45 seconds and then in 15-second intervals until you reach the desired temperature.  For Cold Therapy -  Place your compress in a ziplock bag in the freezer for at least one hour or buy an extra to store in the freezer for when it is needed
