For a thin coating on pickle slices, simply dredge through mix and fry accordingly. For a thicker coating, combine pickle mix and water or milk in a medium bowl and stir until batter is smooth. Dip pickles in batter and fry accordingly. FRYING DIRECTIONS: In a medium saucepan or cast iron skillet, add oil ½ inch up the sides and heat to medium high heat. Drain the pickles and pat dry with a paper towel. Dip each pickle into the batter and add to the hot oil. Fry for 2-3 minutes or until golden and crispy.
