This iconic alpine lake offers clear views of the snowy peak of Mount Hood. Named after a charming native flower, Trillium Lake rests in an area that is as beautiful as it is historic. The nearby meadows and logging roads were once traversed by pioneers of the Oregon Trail. A short hike out an easy trail will lead you to this vantage point on the shore of Trillium Lake. I painted this one on location while an osprey circled above me (they made their way right into the painting)! Enjoy sending love across the miles with these miniature art postcards!
