Aesthetic notebook, created in collaboration with the National Museum of Natural History, the Scales notebook is part of the MINERAL collection, inspired by the museum’s mineralogical collections. The pattern takes as its starting point a Madagascar scale jasper, whose surface is organized into overlapping scales, almost alive, like those of a fish. Rather than reproducing the stone, the design seeks to capture its movement and rhythm. Through its composition and repeated lines, the overall image evokes an almost painterly quality, recalling the graphic universe of Hokusai, at the crossroads of natural material and constructed abstraction. In A5 format, this notebook is designed to accompany everyday life, from note-taking and writing to the circulation of ideas.
