The teapots of the Selvatica collection are born from walks in the woods and mountains, places that have always inspired my work. I like to observe the small details of the undergrowth: the brambles that twist along the paths, the wild blackberries ripening at the end of summer, and the animals that live hidden among the vegetation. From these encounters come decorations to bring into everyday life, to rediscover a small fragment of the forest each day. Among brambles heavy with ripe blackberries it is not uncommon to meet a small snail slowly making its way after the rain. This teapot was born precisely from that simple, silent image, transformed into a decoration modeled and applied entirely by hand. Snail and Blackberries depicts a small woodland scene, where every detail invites you to slow down and observe nature calmly. The decoration is modeled and applied entirely by hand, making each teapot slightly different and unique. Each teapot is wheel-thrown in stoneware, assembling the body, spout, handle and lid by hand. After decoration it is glazed and fired at high temperature, resulting in a sturdy object suitable for daily use. It is designed for preparing and sharing tea and herbal infusions, turning a daily gesture into a moment of calm inspired by the forest.
