A mala is a meditation necklace that has been worn by yogis, Hindus, and Buddhists for thousands of years. It supports you on your spiritual path and helps you manifest your goals. In this form of meditation, a specific mantra or affirmation is spoken aloud and repeated over and over. So that the meditator can fully concentrate on the mantra - and not be distracted by counting the repetitions - they use the mala as a counting aid. The name "Rudraksh" means "tears of Shiva" in German. (Rudra = name for Shiva, Aksha = eye). According to legend, Shiva wanted to restore the well-being of all living beings.
