MITZVAH - The Hebrew Collection - STAR OF DAVID The Star of David is the crest of the Jewish nation. It emblazoned the shield of King David, who led the Jewish people to conquer the promised land of Israel. The two triangles are symbolic of the fundamental dualities of human life; the most basic relationships in our existence. These include the relationship of humanity to God, the heavens and the earth, man and woman, life and death, youth and age, and many others. Another Cabbalistic meaning is "as above, so below": a statement that points to the essential unity of heaven and earth. The Star of David is one of the deepest symbols in the world, as well as being one of the most widespread. Pendants come on legend cards with a 33-inch long black cord. Fine lead-free pewter. Packaged on recycled paper cards.
