Description
PC30 Matted print Gerald Dawavendewa (Hopi & Cherokee) Summary Across the desert mesas, the night sky fills with the elements of the cosmos. In a traditional dress with corn designs, a young Hopi woman reaches outward from earth to hold a star within the universe. She wears her hair in a style representing butterfly wings, insects that gather pollen and help give life to flowers. Her belt symbolizes rain as it falls upon a disk with colors representing the four directions and symbolizing the earth. A blue corn plant rises upward next to her, reaching multi-colored rain clouds that gather along with the corn plant as dragonflies flutter below. • Bevel cut mat is 11" by 14" (27.9 by 35.5 cm) with backing board. • Printed on acid-free photo paper with smudge, fade, & water-resistant ink. • Includes a description, biography of the artist, & information on the indigenous culture. • Packaged in a clear resealable envelope. • Fits a standard frame. Frame not included.

Our customers are responding most to the cards, but the prints will be a hit once our snow melts and we have more foot traffic. The colors and designs are magnificent. The canvas paintings are adorable. Very excited to add this artist to our Native owned shop. Nea’ese (thank you)

Our museum store is thrilled to be carrying Gerald's works. Each print was wrapped with care and securely shipped. The packaging looks clean and professional, and the descriptions on the back of each piece makes them even more special. The print quality is great with both the greeting cards and matted prints. We are looking forward to ordering more prints soon!
