Wholesale Somba Very Finely Woven Straw Bracelet - Benin

These bracelets are each woven by hand by the women of the Somba tribe in West Central Benin. The quality of their workmanship, the level of detail, is unsurpassed. The technique is a traditional one most commonly employed for the manufacture of very tightly braided strands they wear around their waists, under their clothes as protective amulets. There is a virtually unlimited variety of colors and designs; we sell them assorted. Although there is a variety of sizes most measure very close to 2 1/2" (6 cm) in internal diameter x 1/4" width (6 mm).
