Inspired by the Isle of Avalon from Arthurian legend. Avalon was also called the Isle of Apples since they grew there year-round. In Celtic mythology, apples were associated with healing and rejuvenation. Those who lived on the island were said to never have to farm due to the abundance of grain, apple orchards, and grapevines, and lived to be over 100 years old. Avalon was also the home of Morgan Le Fay, the half-sister of King Arthur. When Arthur was wounded in his final battle, a barge carried him to the island where legend says he still sleeps, until the day Britain needs him again.
