The Gaelic Doors are one of our smaller doors, based from the Celtic designs of the Knot, Heart and Triskele. All our doors are handcrafted using only premium red cedar. Cedar is the only wood that can withstand the elements untreated. However, we use an exterior finish to protect the colour from fading over time. The Gaelic frames have been stained a rich golden mahogany. Each little door has been hand painted with acrylic paints. In this case, the colour is an antiqued green. The hardware we choose is either zinc based, copper or bronze. These metals tend to age nicely over time, adding character to the door. A keyhole has been cut into the back of the door to hang from a screw or nail.
