Wholesale Hand-Carved Long Soapstone Vietnamese Sculptural Bowl

This original work of art was created by a skilled Vietnamese artisan following the design of an accomplished Japanese designer. This white soapstone is the natural color of the stone, unpainted, not dyed. Each piece is carved of a single, solid piece of stone. It is common for this stone to have naturally occurring occlusions which can appear as imperfections. It is these occlusions that give this naturally occurring stone its appeal. Soapstone is a soft rock that is capable of being carved and etched to great deal without fracturing. It is mined in the mountains of Quang Ninh in northern Viet Nam. Each hand-carved object is a symbol of both the aesthetics and talent of the Vietnamese artisans.
