Bissap is a very refreshing juice made from African hibiscus flowers “hibiscus sabdariffa”, with a slightly acidic taste and a sweet scent of red fruit. Very popular in West Africa (Senegal, Mali, Ivory Coast), and in Egypt (Karkadé). Rich in vitamin C, it is also given diuretic and tonic properties.
