MYSTIC NILE - The Egyptian Collection - Ma’at The Egyptian Goddess Ma’at was the personification of order and the eternal laws of existence. She was also the Goddess of Truth and Law. She was the food and drink of Ra, the Sun God and the giver of life. Thus, without Ma’at, life would be impossible. Without the diet of Truth and Righteousness she provided, the sun itself would die, extinguishing all life with it. Ma’at was also the one who judged the dead, weighing their hearts on the scales of justice, weighing them against just one feather of her impeccable uprightness. And so Ma’at holds an important place in the complex worlds of the dead the Egyptians believed in. Pendants come on Legend Cards with a 33 inch long black cord. Fine Lead Free Pewter.
