Description
Hens symbolize prosperity. These cloth hens are made in the stark desert of Northern India, where women have formed a crafts' cooperative, creating an economy where none existed. These colourful little ornaments, crafted from scraps of fabric are decorated with carefully chosen glass beads, silver sequins, and a little brass bell. Each strand has 3 multicoloured hens and is approximately 10" long. Lengths vary slightly, as they are handmade. Made in Rajasthan, India.

All items are hand selected by the owner, who visits her homeland of India and talks to the workers and ensures fair trade practices. The products are always beautiful, and reflect the history and the beauty of an old culture and the people that share it with us through their products.
