Handcrafted in north central India, this unique puzzle box features a hand carved mama and baby dove design. Artisans use hand tools to skillfully carve blocks of sustainably harvested Indian rosewood into fine treasures. This puzzle box separates into four pieces with a secret storage space inside. The art of traditional Indian wood craft requires mastery, passed down thru generations, to create the intricate carvings and smooth, polished finish. Only thing that got my attention, the carving on top of the puzzle boxes (butterfly, 3, Elephant mama 3) and jewelry boxes, looked unfinished. And the puzzle boxes were smaller than I expected by the time you get to the inside. Love the terra cotta items.
