These bracelets are made from caña flecha (Gynerium sagittatum), a large tropical herbaceous plant from the Poaceae family, which can exceed five meters in height. After being washed, sliced, dried, and dyed, the fiber from its leaf is then woven. This entirely manual craft is a pre-Columbian tradition that the Zenú Indians continue in Colombia, in the department of Córdoba.
