Description
These great beads are made by the Krobo People of Ghana, Africa. Powder glass beads are made by crushing glass to a fine powder and heating it so that the particles fuse together. The glass is then poured into clay molds, with a cassava leaf stem used to make the hole. They are baked in an oven and the glass fuses and the cassava stem burns up. This technique has been used in Africa for centuries. Shade of orange may vary slightly from photo.

I googled pricing after receiving my products because I couldn't believe the pricing that I was having to mark these for the size that they are. (Many lengths are left off their descriptions). I found that their website thebeadchest.com sells direct to customers for $2 or less over what we buy it for depending on how many the customer purchases AND free shipping over $99. I paid nearly $30 on an almost $400 order. Will be returning.
