Description
Portion of proceeds donated to Wild Seed Project. Printed in Maine on recycled paper, A2 card size (5.5 x 4.25). Packaged in biodegradable cellophane. Cut-out reveal message inside. Monarch butterflies are one of North America's most beloved species, and their entire life cycle depends on a single plant: milkweed. Over the decades, widespread herbicide use by gardeners and farmers has drastically reduced milkweed abundance, by an estimated 60 to 80%. This loss of habitat, along with other environmental pressures and pesticide use, has contributed to an alarming 80% decline in monarch populations since the 1990s. The good news is that everyone can create monarch habitat by planting native milkweed species and not using pesticides or herbicides. By restoring milkweed, we help keep the monarch migration alive for future generations. Don't forget to follow on Instagram: @claire.loon.baldwin
