Malagasy cocoa from the Sambirano valley in Madagascar has unique fruity aromas, slightly spicy and a little sharp. The beans are processed (roast, ground and conched) in their country of origin, rather than being sent to Europe first, which is more often the case. We have a good relationship with the producers and have been out to visit the farms in 2017, making this chocolate from Madagascar one is close to our hearts.
