This majestic evergreen grows to an average height of 164’-279’ (50-85 m) in groves of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. Spongy, thick and fire-resistant bark covers the massive trunk of the Sequoia, with diameters ranging from 20’-26’ (6-8 m).
