Light weight but sturdy children's sized Viking or round shield with red and black quadrant pattern. Features a custom made steel shield boss (or umbo) that covers the user's hand as well as a shaped wooden handle. Shield edge is wrapped in black fabric. Shield board is pine 3 ply and quite strong for the thickness and weight. Constructed with copper rivets. Constructed in very similar manner as genuine archeological finds. Perfect for Halloween, Ren Faire, cosplay, and SCA events. Works well as a Buckler or Targe for light sparring contact. Dimensions: 19" diameter, 2" boss depth, 3/16 in board thickness.
