When we decide to build a new product at Ball and Buck, we do so because we have tested and reviewed all of the other offerings on the market and for one reason or another, they have failed. Our journey to create the perfect strap vest started in this exact way. We tried versions that looked great but lacked functionality, versions that had awesome materials like waxed cotton but were too heavy and improperly reinforced, and versions that were so feature rich they made it look like you were dressing up as Data from The Goonies. In concept it seemed that all of the bases had been covered, but in reality we ended day after day disappointed in the lack of synergy of each vest we tried. With that we focused on balancing key features and traditional materials in perfect harmony. Offering the features that you need for long and short days afield without overcomplicating the product with extra weight and more things that can break or get caught on your drive. The Ball and Buck strap vest is hand-crafted from ultra-premium materials including our signature 12.29oz military canvas, 100% cotton webbing, breathable mesh, and adorned with solid brass zippers, snaps, and hardware. The vest features YKK water repellant concealed stash pockets behind the front draining shell pockets, a large and functional removable water repellant game pocket, an integrated hydration reservoir with attachment points for the hydration tubing, two removable water bottle/ gear holders, double D-rings for calls or tool attachment, and the vest is adjustable both on the sides and in the front for fine tuning the fit. The vest is available in two sizes and two versions–one focused on upland hunting and one focused on dove/waterfowl hunting.
