We are Matt and Brett, the co-owners of nativ. Back in 2008, we didn't know what would become of our first print run, and what did become of it probably was not the plan. Actually, there was no plan–but there was passion. Our first “storefront” was a tent we bought on credit, hoping we would sell enough shirts that weekend to pay for it. To be honest, we don’t remember for sure if we did or not. What we do remember were the smiles. The smiles of seeing people's reaction to our genuinely local brand. The smiles as we shared our story with folks we still call friends. The smiles of exhaustion, knowing we had burned the boats and were all in on this crazy dream. There was also a love of community and a sense of pride in truly living what we believed in: simplicity, honesty, and pure hard work..... and to this day, it remains. We’re still dedicated to building a community of adventurers and nature lovers seeking to connect with, celebrate, and conserve the great outdoors. To that end, we’re collaborating with partners–from grassroots groups to state agencies–to educate, inspire, and support the next generation of outdoor enthusiasts. And we still dream up, design, build, print, fold, tag, and ship every nativ shirt by hand right here in Little Rock, Arkansas. Thank you for allowing us to do what we love to do every day.
