Wholesale Vintage African Shibori Indigo Mudcloth Textile Shawl

Known as a "wedding shawl" by the Mossi people of Burkina Faso who use this textile as a form of clothing. Typically women wear this textile at a wedding or at any special occasion. This textile was made for their own purpose and was not intended for other use. However to us, it is a beautiful handwoven indigo fabric with typical evidence of use, which lends it great appeal and unique character. When woven, these textiles are composed of many small bands about 6" wide. Our indigo fabrics are vintage with a tight weave, tie-dyed and accented by tassels at the ends of the textile. This textile measures 68 x 45" (173 x 114 cm).
