Organic Matcha from Tenryu, Shizuoka, is made from first-harvest Yabukita tea leaves carefully cultivated in the pristine mountain environment of western Shizuoka. Made from the youngest spring tea leaves, this ceremonial-grade matcha is distinguished by its exceptionally rich umami, natural sweetness, and smooth, mellow texture. It offers remarkable depth of flavor with a long, satisfying finish that showcases the distinctive character of premium Japanese matcha. The tea is grown in the mountainous region of Tenryu, Shizuoka, nestled among cedar forests at the foothills of the Southern Japanese Alps. Located at an elevation of approximately 500 meters, the area benefits from a cool climate and pristine environment that are ideal for tea cultivation. For more than 35 years, the farm has practiced pesticide-free cultivation and now produces 100% organic tea through decades of dedication and expertise.
