The bulk of Aiya's Matcha is grown and produced in Nishio, the heart of Aichi Prefecture, Japan. A historic tea cultivating region dating back to the 1200's, Nishio’s stable climate, fresh pristine river waters, fertile soil, and remoteness from urban development foster tea leaves that are more resiliently green and full of nutrients. Currently, Aiya holds over 80% of the exclusive harvesting rights to Nishio’s tea plantations. With a spotless product recall record of over 130 years, Aiya continually strives to improve product quality. Each step of the production process is thoroughly monitored and documented, and extensive internal and third-party laboratory inspections are conducted to ensure that the final product conforms to Aiya’s stringent standards prior to shipment.
