After the winter we had, though, we were more than happy to let it take its sweet time. And every summer deserves its own REFRESHMENT. Enter: SUNKISS! Our seasonal ode to long days, cold drinks, and that golden stretch before fall rolls in. Designed to be beautiful brewed hot or cold, but ESPECIALLY COLD. This year’s selection is a love letter from one of our favorite up and coming regions: Uganda. The work of ~300 smallholder farmers gets collected and processed by Norman Mukuru at his Coffee Yards facility, translated through some tricky oxygenated short-stage fermentation and then deftly dried in-cherry for the rest of its journey from plant to cup. The results sing clearly of summer! Strawberry lemonade, watermelon Jolly Ranchers, malt shakes - it’s all there in technicolor sensory beauty! Think back to one of those perfect peak-summer days: poolside, shade up, chair reclined, book out, humidity THICK, toes roasting, freshly out of the water.
