This beautiful concertina folded card features my original illustration of our beloved Blackbird.  The design includes the Blackbird's egg, the elegant fellow himself, and the nest where he helps to rear his chicks. My favourite early spring sound is the call of the Blackbird, one of the first birdsongs, its so evocative of things getting going again after winter and the promise of new starts in spring. Blackbirds are also known to keep close to where they were born so it is likely that the bird you spot in the garden is the same one each time.
