You may be surprised to learn that nearly every coffee shop uses boxed concentrate to make their chai drinks. Once you make it yourself, you'll be amazed at the difference in flavor, not to mention the money you can save by making it at home! Perfect Chai: Deeply spiced and lightly sweetened, chai is a blend of black tea and warm spices prepared with a generous amount of milk. It's delicious, healthful, and comforting. Ingredients: Cinnamon, ginger, green cardamom pods, black tea, allspice, cloves, black pepper. Contains caffeine. Brewing instructions: As loose leaf tea: Use 1-2 Tbsp per 8oz of boiling water. Steep 3-5 minutes or to taste. Add sweetener and milk to taste. Traditional method: Boil 2 Tbsp of chai blend and 2 tsp sugar in 1 1/4 cups of water for 2-5 minutes. Add 1 cup of milk and boil for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 5 minutes. Enjoy! Contains one tightly-packed cup of chai blend.
