This captivating print is a blend of the classic and the fanciful (just like all good stories), and was created using artwork spanning more than three centuries. We layered two stunning 18th century ink-on-silk hanging scrolls from Japan painted with wild plum blossoms, peach trees, magpies, and a luminous moon to create this design, then added other whimsical elements — including Flemish antique illustrations of wild deer, birds, and cranes. The printed trim comes from French silk embroidery fragments from the early 1800’s, and the charming pattern on the sleeves is a replica of block-printed French paper from the same era. The result is chic, romantic and timeless. 100% viscose (derived from plant fibres such as wood and bamboo). Machine wash gentle or handwash and hang to dry.
