Description
This 5"x7" greeting card of my original watercolor illustration is printed in my home studio, reproduced in vibrant colors on high quality archival polar white matte paper, and paired with a 100% recycled kraft brown envelope. The back reads: Rarely heard or seen, spotted owls are ghosts of a bygone era. Only small patches of their once vast habitat remains, but a lucky few may still see these beauties, any of three distinct subspecies—the northern spotted owl in the Cascades and coast mountains of the Pacific Northwest, the California spotted owl native only to that state, and the Mexican spotted owl in the deep canyons and riparian woodlands of the American southwest and Mexico. Once found, they are known for being curious, watchful birds and show little fear of humans.
