Original Linocut ‘Green Turtle & coral’ print. Each print is carved and printed by hand, making them one-of-a-kind individual pieces of art that have their own charm and character. Hand printed with black eco water-based ink, on white Somerset archival paper made from cotton textile waste. Print paper size L18cm x W20cm Plastic free packaging, this print comes carefully wrapped in tissue paper and board for protection, made from recycled materials. The Green Turtle is one of the largest sea turtles and a critically endangered species, endangered for many reasons including loss of habitat, global warming, pollutants, fishing, harvesting of eggs and illegal poaching. The green turtle mainly eats a herbivore diet consisting of seagrasses, algae and seaweed. They spend a lot of their time grazing in coral reefs but due to climate change and coral bleaching coral reefs are in a massive decline. The coral reefs and Green turtles are critical to our environment and the marine ecosystem both need to be protected. I have created this ‘Sea Life’ Range to create an awareness for our oceans and the endangered species that inhabit them.
