This item is thoughtfully designed and crafted with attention to detail. It makes a significant gift for someone special, perfect for Christmas or any meaningful occasion. Each of these finely made items conveys warm thoughts and wishes from the giver to the recipient. In particular, the Seigaiha Wave pattern carries a heartfelt message of wishing for peaceful days. Hiro’s original item, a palm-sized Paulownia wood box crafted by Masuya, a company in Oita, founded in 1930, with Japanese Seigaiha(Wave). The Seigaiha(Wave) pattern has a meaning of peaceful days. Inside the top box, there are mini Japanese scissors made in Niigata, which are attached to the magnet of the lid, and a tiny plum shaped pincushion. The pincushion is made from Noto Futakoshi Chirimen, which has a unique texture, and each piece is threaded by hand with care one-by-one to give it a beautiful texture. Chirimen textile started making in Japan at the end of the 16th century and is a fabric with a distinctive weave. (Plum shape is a crest of the Maeda family, who were very powerful lords, continuing for 14th generations in Kanazawa city. ) One-touch needles from Hiroshima where have been making needles for over 300 years. This needle is magically easy to put through a thread into the hole of the needle. Chirimen, Fabric(Polyester100%), Pin cushion filling(Polyester100%) Japanese Traditional Patterns (Mon'yō) “Mon'yō” refers to traditional Japanese patterns and designs that have been used since ancient times. These patterns are not merely decorative; each carries its own meaning, symbolism, and wishes—such as for happiness, health, longevity, or harmony. They reflect Japan’s deep connection with nature and its appreciation for beauty in everyday life.
