Old beads - new look These necklaces are handmade by craftswomen in Nepal. They are made with re-used glass beads from jewellery originally worn by Bonda women. The Bonda tribes live in the hills of Odisha, India. The women only wear a loincloth. Their torsos and heads are covered in strings of colourful beads. The beads are strung on new cotton threads. The necklaces have a knotted loop closure with a coconut button. The 3 strings necklace is 45 cm long and the 5 strings measures 55 cm. A display card of handmade paper is delivered with the jewellery.
