EIRE - The Celtic Collection - Celtic Warrior The Celts were a warrior culture and for hundreds of years, the Celtic warrior represented the quintessential barbarian warrior to the settled peoples of the Mediterranean. Their attacks on the battlefield were fearless, wild and savage, but they were also skilled and deadly. The Celts used a multiplicity of weapons. Distance combat weapons were javelins, harpoons, bows and slings; and close-range weapons were spears, two-hand hammers, axes and a variety of short and long swords. Chariots and horses played an important role in Celtic warfare even though the Celtic warrior was basically an infantryman who fought unarmored, with his body covered with a blue hue and his hair spiked with lime to create a fearsome impression. • Pendants come on Legend Cards with a 33-inch long black cord. • Fine Lead-Free Pewter. • Packaged on Recycled paper cards.
