Wholesale Maya Coin Purse

This coin purse is handwoven with cotton threads, using natural plant and mineral-based dyes. Artisanally woven and embroidered using the Mayan backstrap loom- a women's artisan tradition going back over 5,000 years! Each purse features traditional Mayan geometric designs, each design is uniquely different based on the weaver's inspiration. Colors are dyed using a variety of plant leaves, tree bark, cochineal insects, and minerals. The blue color is from recycled threads made from re-purposed denim jeans. All products are Fair Trade certified through WFTO, ensuring ethical and fair labor practices. All profits support the work of our non-profit organization, Yabal Guatemala, focused on women's empowerment in Guatemala.
