Today, this ancient technique is used for official government documents in Nepal, as well as Ganesh Himal’s beautiful paper goods. The paper is naturally insect free and will last more than 100 years. Our paper is sourced directly from the paper producers in the Baglung area of Nepal. These beautiful cards are created near Baktapur, Nepal by BWCP whose mission is to work with low income rural and urban families to provide long term job opportunities that pay a fair and equitable wage. They work to strengthen the important traditional craft of paper making and create completely environmentally sustainable products. Ganesh has partnered with BWCP for over 40 years!
