How This Handmade Gemstone Ring Is Made Each tiger's eye ring is made to order in my small Santa Fe studio. I hand-select every stone for its chatoyancy and warm color, then encase it in copper using traditional electroforming techniques. Copper grows directly around the stone through an electrical process, forming the band organically. No mass production, no shortcuts. Every handmade gemstone ring from this studio is one of a kind.
