Description
Designed by Om Gallery and exquisitely crafted by our artisan partners in the Philippines. This lovely colorful peacock windchime is meticulously handcrafted out of Capiz and copper plated metal frame. 16" x 8" Capiz shells are actually the outer shell of a marine mollusk more commonly known as "windowpane oyster". Philippine capiz shells are so named because they were originally harvested from the shallow coastal waters near the town of Capiz, on the island of Panay. Once cleaned, the shells are naturally translucent and, when painted, allow for a glorious interplay between light and color.

The chimes themselves are beautiful, but they're very delicate and two of them arrived broken. I tried contacting the company and the message was marked as read, but no response was given. Then a third chime broke after barely being handled. Would love to be able to reorder in the future, but only if they work on their communication and the quality/durability of their product. *Revised review: Was able to get in contact with the seller and sent photos of the damaged products and was refunded.
