Description
MEDIUM: 8.5"w x 11"h like your typical prints LARGE: 11"w x 14"h the next size up! This was originally a gouache painting, a still life of items about my mom. I wanted the audience to see, smell, feel, from these items. This piece is called, “Vitality”, inspired by the things that remind me of my mom; Fiery and energetic. The Vietnamese coffee phin, filled with condensed milk and black coffee, is a nod to her upbringing in Saigon. Though ethnically Chinese, my mom is also nationally Vietnamese and her life there is what she brought along with her to the States. With that in mind, her South East Asian roots give her a strong passion, and it's reflected in these items.
