Pascale Berkowitz is an artist, illustrator and graphic designer based in Lincoln, Massachusetts. She uses line, and (sometimes) color, as a process of discovery. Her pieces evoke a sense of playful whimsy and are a continued effort to distill fleeting moments and observations. They capture brief run-ins with the sublime that are buried in the everyday, celebrating nature, exteriors and architecture. Shaped by her upbringing with Swiss parents, aesthetics were important! From the way dinner was plated to how firewood was stacked. She learned from an early age to notice the natural beauty of her surroundings. Her drawings often center around elements from the land, towns near and far, and flowers. For her it’s a desire to bring forth tangible beauty, goodness, and pleasure into the world — here and now. For years she worked in graphic design and marketing with well-known brands and exciting startups. She loved creative work and started Pascale Berkowitz Studio Art to bring her creativity and joy of illustration to others by offering freelance design services, original works and affordable fine art prints. She specializes in whimsical illustration techniques, but knows even more about holistic processes and following creative intuition.
