View of Chartwell, c1938 Card Size: 170mm x 120mm with 120gsm White Envelope Greeting: Blank Inside Material: 330gsm White Card (FSC mix credit INT-COC-002103) Sir Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill was a British statesman, soldier, and writer who served as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom twice, from 1940 to 1945 during the Second World War, and again from 1951 to 1955. He was introduced to painting during a family holiday in June 1915, when his political career was at a low ebb. He continued his hobby into his old age, painting over 500 pictures of subjects such as his goldfish pond at Chartwell and the landscapes and buildings of Marrakesh. Barcode: 739988257938
