WHITE + LAVA — a dialogue between purity and volcanic texture. Smooth white glaze meets expressive lava inlay for sculptural depth. Entirely wheel-thrown by Laima in our rural Latvian studio, each bowl becomes its own small landscape. A functional object with sculptural presence, bringing grounded poetry to the table. Surface Variation — Matte to Glossy Thinner areas are matte, thicker glaze settles into soft glossy. Each firing creates organic movement — no two surfaces are ever identical The lava glaze forms crater-like patterns where minerals melt and settle, echoing cooled stone and raw landscapes. Though visually rugged, the surface remains pleasant under the fingers, offering tactile texture with natural heat resistance. Here, function meets poetry: The smooth white glaze ensures everyday usability, while the lava inlay adds sculptural depth that remains comfortable, durable, and dishwasher-safe. The balance between art and function feels seamless — a piece that lives beautifully within daily ritual.
