Janina Brügel studied fine arts in Nürnberg and human medicine in Erlangen. In her works, she dissects our humanity tenderly, honestly, blatantly and mercilessly. She shows people in all their imperfection, their heartbreaking longing and irrational hope. The empty gaze of the characters in "It's Never Too Late to Celebrate" also becomes a projection surface and reference space for our own psyche. And yet you can always feel Janina Brügel’s deep love for human beings.
