Wholesale Rare Andalusite & Biwa Pearl Sterling Silver Necklace 18"

This petite pendant measures about 3/4 inch and the chain measures 18 inches. It features a 3mm round faceted Brazilian andalusite that weighs about 0.11 carats. The bezel set andalusite is hanging from rare true Lake Biwa Japan pearls that are vintage. I bought these Biwa pearls sometime between 1988 and 1993. The pearl industry in Lake Biwa collapsed in the late 1980s, there is very little commercial production of pearls there now, just one family owned operation that farms for their own jewelry manufacturing. Unless vintage, what you see on the market today that is being called Biwa are actually Chinese freshwater pearls that simply resemble what classic Biwa pearls used to look like. The andalusite is the classic colored pleochroic andalusite which is a mix of deep copper brown, peach, and green. These necklace would be great for the rare gemstone collector. Another name for andalusite is chiastolite though this name is typically used when you can see the cross pattern in the material that the mineral is known for. Please allow for some slight variances in the pearls and andalusite as both are natural gems. Please see photo in hand for scale.
