Description
Poster - Ida B. Wells. A fearless anti-lynching crusader, suffragist, women's rights advocate and journalist, Ida B. Wells (1862-1931) was born into slavery in 1862. A consistent radical, she began a national campaign against lynching in 1892 which nearly eliminated that horrific practice. She was also active in the struggle for women's suffrage, pushing white women to be inclusive. Trevor B. Lightsy, acrylic 2014.
